An Intuitive voice and harp Improvisation duo with composer-vocalist Jenniti Roditi and composer-harpist Alistair Smith.

These improvisations were recorded over the internet... with each musician at home in their own work space. Some tracks have occasional 'internet glitches'.. but are otherwise recorded with high quality software and mastering... internet recording enabled so much during lockdown to keep musicians connected and this volume is a record of some of the process we created over the last three years.

All improvisations were recorded in one take with no post recording edits.

During lockdown Jenni Roditi and Alistair Smith continued their collaboration together by meeting over the internet, at first on Zoom and then using an audio room programme called Sonobus in combination with Zoom. They met regularly online and recorded many of their improvisations.

The duo work with modes and then allow the music to unfold ‘in the unknown’ using improvisation.

Before lockdown Jenni and Alistair were performing together as a duo and exploring how they could work together in healing, creative and therapeutic settings in Vocal Tai Chi and Voice Transpiring Music.

Felt-Sense is a term coined by psychologist Eugene Gendlin as part of his work known as Focussing. It may be considered a space in which “a combination of emotion, awareness, intuitiveness, and embodiment” connect to give a deeper understanding of what is going on underneath the surface of each individual.
